I now have a job that allows me to work anywhere I choose, but eventually (within 1-2 yrs) will be seeking employment based in OC or greater LA area, so my question is not about employment but rather the dating scene.
I'm asian (Korean born) who typically does date within my race (just more comfortable with that).
I've never had problems getting dates (offline or online), but it has always been a numbers game (ie: WI had a lot fewer dating options for me than WA). Wanna hear from other Asian males specifically but insight from anyone is really appreciated. Hey, it's russ, but I'm not a guy , so no man's point of view here, but it is true--there are a lot of Koreans in Southern California.
When I look online dating, the dating opportunities for someone like me in OC/LA seem almost endless (even waaay more than in Seattle! LA County has Koreatown, but I know you asked about OC.
There's a Korean area in Garden Grove, full of wonderful Korean retailers, restaurants, and supermarkets.
Koreans, like other nationalities are spread throughout, though, so you'll meet Korean women in other OC cities.I'm Asian and married to a non-Asian and that is quite common (Asian women going for other races), but I'm sure you won't have problems finding nice Korean girls to date.I used to attend a predominately Korean church and loved the people, food, language, etc.Oh, Cerritos is a beautiful city and has clusters of Korean restaurants also.Going strictly by the numbers, So Cal is as good as it gets in the USA.There are probably more Koreans in Orange County alone than WA and WI combined.
